The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Throne of Skulls
June has been a busy month for Events at Warhammer World, and here’s the second event review for the month! We run exciting events where people from all over arrive in our gaming hall for a weekend and play great games against like minded hobbyists. So without further ado, it’s over to Nick and John from from the Events Team with another packed review from a June 2014 event.
7th – 8th June 2014
Nick: The first event of a very busy June 2014 was The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey™ Throne of Skulls. A great turnout of 82 gamers descended upon Warhammer World to do battle in Middle-earth, and the action kicked off on Saturday morning with everyone in high spirits. There were a huge variety of forces on display at the event, and the level of painting was incredible. Saturday night saw the usual japes in Bugman’s Bar, and on Sunday, our players returned once more for a second day of brutal action. Huge congratulations to all those who went away with a prize, especially deserving Best Army winner Damian O’Byrne and the overall winner, James Long!
So, with June almost gone, the Events Team are looking forward to July’s events, with a special mention to our forthcoming Warhammer 40,000 Open Day.
The Warhammer 40,000 Open Day on July 20th is a day dedicated to Warhammer 40,000, with members of our Design Studios, miniatures and original art on show, hobby demonstrations, show only and pre-release products and more. Find out more here.
