June is almost gone, and so it’s the fourth and final review from our month of events!
Here at Warhammer World we run exciting gaming events, typically over one or two days, and it’s tanks, guns and dragons for everyone over a weekend of fun. So without further ado, it’s over to Nick and John from from the Events Team with our last review from June 2014.
21st – 22nd June 2014
Nick: The last event in June was the Warhammer 40,000 Council of War, our team event, where groups of four joined together to take on all comers over a weekend of battles, camaraderie, friendly rivalry, guns and tanks! The atmosphere was electric all weekend, with teams egging each other on! We saw a huge amount of stories entered into the Most Heroic Act competition, including many lucky moments and characters surviving against the odds, but the winner was Sgt. Harker, (belonging to Richard Churchill) who managed to shoot the head off a heretic Imperial Knight with his heavy bolter, Ol’ Payback! Huge congratulations to Ben Greaves for winning Best Army with his Imperial Knights, and the rest of his team, Team Stompy Death, who won The Emperor’s Laurels for sportsmanship, the pub quiz, and the whole event overall!
With all of June’s events behind us, the Events Team are looking forward to July, with a special mention to our forthcoming Warhammer 40,000 Open Day.
The Warhammer 40,000 Open Day on July 20th is a day dedicated to Warhammer 40,000, with members of our Design Studios, miniatures and original art on show, hobby demonstrations, show only and pre-release products and more. Find out more here.
