Calling all painting fans!
If you love seeing incredibly painted Citadel miniatures, or indeed, painting them yourself, you won’t want to miss Golden Demon, Games Workshop’s premier painting competition, which is returning once again this year, at Warhammer Fest.
Having been run ever since 1987, Golden Demon is one of Games Workshop’s oldest institutions, attracting painters and miniatures fans alike to it’s hallowed cabinets. The prestige earned from winning one of the coveted Golden Demon statuettes has seen the standard of entries increase annually, and this year promises to be no different.
In 2014 Golden Demon is being held exclusively in the UK, at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Sunday 12th October as part of our brand new event, Warhammer Fest; a weekend long celebration of Citadel Miniatures and the entire Games Workshop hobby. Find out more about the event here.
All the usual categories are back, including Single Miniature, Unit and Large Model for both Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000, Duel, Diorama, Warhammer 40,000 Vehicle and models from The Lord of the Rings™ and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug™. Also being held alongside Golden Demon is the Open Competition and, for our younger painters, the Youngbloods.
For a full list of categories, including the size restrictions, the terms and conditions of entry and the entry form itself can all be found here. Make sure you check them out if you’re considering entering the competition.
