Live Demonstrations. January 24th & 25th.

Here at Warhammer World we regularly run live demonstrations, which are the perfect opportunity to have an in-depth look at modelling and painting miniatures. We decided to take a look this week at how to work with resin, and how to achieve the best results when painting miniatures white. Drop in and watch the work in progress, ask your questions or bring your hobby equipment and join in at the paint stations.

Sprues and Glues Live

Saturday January 24th 11.00am – 2.00pm

Each week White Dwarf offers you two handy guides to help you progress your collection with useful hints and tips. One of these guides is the handy Sprues and Glues Chapter, which offers quick and useful techniques in getting your miniatures prepared ready for painting.

Large resin kits, such as those available from Forge World (or a certain very large dragon) often require a little more work. We have had many requests within the Warhammer World store to run a demonstration pod on how to prepare and build Resin miniatures. We have heard these many voices from the warp, and have decided to answer these requests with a special pod focusing on the Skaven Brood Horror from Forge World and Amy will be customising it to be ridden by the New plastic Grey Seer.

If you have ever wanted to find out about how to work with Resin, then this is the demonstration pod not to be missed. So you can come down, grab any extra supplies and miniatures you need, and get one-to-one guidance for your projects at our dedicated Hobby Table.

Paint Splatter Live

Sunday January 25th 11.00am – 2.00pm

The second guide that White Dwarf offers to help you progress your collection is the practical Paint Splatter, which provides useful tips and stage by stage painting guides following the Citadel Painting System.

Having built the Brood Horror and Grey Seer during the demonstration pod on Saturday, Amy shares her secrets on how to achieve the best results when painting miniatures white. Not only this but we’ll also be exploring flesh, cloth and fur painting techniques, including some fun effects with blood, gore and, no doubt, some glowing Warpstone (she has been seen eyeing up the Warpstone Glow paint and snickering quietly to herself for the past week).

So come and join us for a weekend full of hobby action! Don’t forget you can bring along any miniatures you are currently working on, or pick them up from the store with our free same day delivery service.

And you thought you were already spoiled for choice with Thanquol and Boneripper, the Verminlords and the new Stormfiends
