Here at Warhammer World we recently celebrated our 17th Birthday. It was absolutely amazing! There were slabs of cake to be had, fantastic displays and tonnes of fun with our participation games and painting competitions, definitely our best celebration to date. Lets take a look at some of the displays we had…
As well as amazing displays, we welcomed back ‘Army of the Month’. Army of the Month is an open painting competition where all hobbyists can bring down their collections, from one Hero to a hoard of warriors, there are no limitations. We were flooded with incredible entries, but there can only be one winner, as voted for by the public. For the month of February, our winner was Michael Dunn with his collection of Tau. Carry on scrolling down for a sneak peek of this display, which will remain available for viewing until the end of March.
The Army of the Month awards were not the only awards up for grabs at our birthday celebration. We also celebrated the winners of our speed painting competition, the champion of our “Bullseye!” shooting game, the sole survivor of our Caverns of Doom, and the hero of our “Exterminatus” Participation Game. Is that cake I see?
Army of the month will be returning on Saturday 28th March, so make sure you don’t miss out on an opportunity to display your collection here at Warhammer World. All you have to do is bring down the miniatures you would like to display, have a chat to one of our staff members on the day, we’ll keep record of your name and your entry. All entries are numbered and displayed for the full day. Make sure you visit the Warhammer World store if you’d like to chat to us about your entries, or would like some advice on how to start.
Now if you missed our Store Birthday, don’t panic, because the Warhammer World Grand Opening on the 16th and 17th of May is just around the corner. Be the first to experience 5 brand new exhibition areas packed full of miniatures and displays; 3 new retail stores including a revamped Warhammer World store and the world’s first and only Forge World and Black Library stores.
As if this wasn’t enough, we have also invited members of our amazing design teams down to help us celebrate on each day.
Because we expect to be very busy on these days, entry to all of Warhammer World will be ticket only, and entry to the Exhibition Centre will be on a timed ticket – to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We also won’t have gaming tables available on these days.
Saturday tickets have sold out, so make sure you head to the store to buy one of our few remaining Sunday tickets. This event is not to be missed! For more details about this event click here. See you there!
