Forge World Store: Battlefields of Calth

With the only Forge World Store in the world at your feet, you can add to your collection without having to wait for them to arrive in the post (or pay for delivery!) Let’s find out what we have in store this week.

New Releases

The Chaos blight that plagued the blog from last week has been met with the 13th Legion Astartes, The Ultramarines. Reinforcements have been sent in the form of the Invictarus Suzerain Squad for The Horus Heresy.

The Invictarus Suzerains exist as a class apart from the line units of the Ultramarines, for they serve the Primarch directly. These stalwart warriors are the living embodiments of their Primarch’s rule and they bear the arms and armour to exemplify this ideal. Their Legatine power axes are ancient symbols once carried by the battle-kings of Macragge. They bear shields with which to hold anarchy and disorder at bay.

This multi-part resin kit contains over 50 parts and creates five Ultramarines Invictarus Suzerains armed with bolt pistols, Legatine power axes and boarding shields. The kit also includes two optional plasma pistols. Rules for using Invictarus Suzerain Squads in Horus Heresy games can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Five – Tempest.

Speaking of anarchy and disorder, this week we also see the The Crimson Apostle, Zardu Layak and his Anakatis Kul Blade-slaves arrive to bolster the ever growing masses of the Word Bearers Legion.

Zardu Layak’s true name is now lost, but it has been recorded that he was once an officer of the Ashen Circle. Assigned to the Chapter of the Ochre Gate as it’s apostle by Erebus, Layak quickly proved more than a mere voice of the First Chaplain. Soon the chapter began to seek missions of its own and Zardu Layak gaining ever more power from the God’s they worship.

Zardu Layak & the Anakatis Kul Blade-slaves are part of Forge World’s Horus Heresy Character Series. These three models are all exceptionally sculpted, and the set includes two twisted and warp- infused Blade-slaves wielding plasma pistols and their tainted xenos weapons, and their master, Zardu Layak, in highly detailed armour and wielding a force stave hung with trophies of his dark arts.
