It’s not too long now until our first Campaign Weekend of the year and it’s going to be really really exciting. Warhammer 40,000: Inquisition Wars is on August 22nd & 23rd, and you can get your tickets right here.
This weekend will feature a dark and twisting story set against the backdrop of two powerful Inquisitor Lords coming to blows over a difference of opinion. This war will conclude at this Campaign Weekend, leaving one Inquisitor as the victor, with much loss of face and prestige for his opponent.
Not to mention the strong likelihood of an entire planet being burned to a crisp in the process, but that’s a pretty common occurrence for an Inquisitor Lord, so they might not even notice.
So what to talk about first?
You can see the event pack here, but there are lots of things to discuss in detail, as we’re adding plenty to this unique event. In later posts we will cover some of the unique scenarios you’ll get to play with, along with some pre-weekend notes from your glorious leaders.
For now though let’s talk about our Agents of the Throne chart and what it means.
This chart tracks your success as an Inquisitor. To start with you are nothing more than an Interrogator, a lackey of your chosen Faction Leader. But the more successful you are, the more likely you are to be promoted and claim the rewards of your station.
So how does one become an Inquisitor?
What does it take? What must you do? Well at this weekend, you have to claim Victory Points. The more you have, the greater the prestige you will gain in the eyes of the Inquisiton. Behold…
0-10 VP’s – Your Warlord gains + 1 Wound
11-20 VP’s – Your Warlord gains + 1 Leadership
21-30 VP’s – Your Warlord gains Eternal Warrior
31– 40 VP’s – Your Warlord gains Hatred (Everything)
41– 50 VP’s – Your Warlord gains the title Inquisitor and is now worth 2 Victory Points for slay the Warlord instead of 1.
51– 70 VP’s – All enemy models now Hate your Warlord.
75– 90 VP’s – Your Warlord may not join units as he becomes increasingly paranoid.
100+ VP’s Your Warlord gains the title Inquisitor Lord and is assassinated shortly after the Campaign by a jealous rival. We will, however, present you with a certificate to honour their death as a martyr of the Imperium.
The astute among you will notice that the chart gets worse if you are decimating your opponents hand over fist. This is simply because the Inquisition are nothing if not suspicious of those who rise too far too fast. The rewards for success are great, but they should not come at the expense of your fellow Inquisitors.
That’s all for now, but tune in next week as we reveal the first mission of the weekend!
The more people find out, the more likely the event is to sell out, so don’t miss out, get your tickets now.
See you soon
