Warhammer 40,000 Council of War Review

WHW council of war warhammer 40,000 logo squareIt’s time to look back at another great Warhammer World event; this time, we played host to 13 teams of four players who came to battle it out over the war-torn universe of Warhammer 40,000 at Council of War, our dedicated team event, on the weekend of the 5th-6th September.

Council of War has a history of being one of our most social and enjoyable events and this time was no different. We saw Inquisitor costumes, sombreros, giant fluffy dice and lots more as the players really got into the spirit of the event. It was a common occurrence to see all four members of a team celebrating as a crucial dice roll had gone well…and lamenting together when it went badly!

Between the players, teams brought 4,000 points worth of miniatures to the table, so we saw some pretty spectacular models, including Warhound Titans, Thunderhawk Gunships, Imperial Knights and more. Check out this gallery of the models that won the Legends Painting Competition to see some particularly impressive miniatures.

The Best Army Competition was, as always, hotly contested with six players being nominated to show their armies on the cabinets at lunch time. Check out these pics to see the quality of the forces nominated for Best Army.

The event ended on Sunday afternoon with the Award Ceremony, where we took time to recognise the achievements of players and teams alike. It was a truly great atmosphere and really reflected how the entire weekend had played out. Check out the gallery of winners below to see their chirpy, smiling faces!

Thanks to everyone who came along and we hope to see you all at the next event!
