Warhammer Fest 2017 – The Venue

We’ve told you about some of the awesome things happening at Warhammer Fest over May 27th and 28th, but not yet told you about why the Ricoh Arena is a great venue to go to!

Sounds like a strange thing to talk about? The venue is a big part of what makes an event like Warhammer Fest a good experience.

Light, Bright and Welcoming

Ricoh_Arena_Full_ShotOnce again the Ricoh Arena is hosting Warhammer Fest, and it’s a welcoming place to spend a day or weekend. Unlike other conference centres, it’s got plenty of natural light and plenty of well divided spaces. You’ll find Warhammer Fest arranged over a series of rooms, with a central area to grab food and drink, meet mates and work out what you want to enjoy next.

Easy to Get To

Just north of Coventry, the Ricoh Arena is only two minutes off the M6, and as well as being easy to get to, you get free car parking right next to the venue for Warhammer Fest. If you’re not driving, it’s 20 minutes to Birmingham International Airport, only a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride from Coventry Railway Station, and there are regular local bus services.

You can find out more about travelling to the Ricoh Arena on their website, here.

Accessibility

The Ricoh Arena has put a great deal of effort into being a welcoming accessible venue. All assistance dogs are welcome, you’ll find plenty of disabled parking spaces, handrails and balustrades on all stairs and ramps, lifts with low level control panels, accessible toilets on all levels and much more for a comfortable day.

You can find out more about access and facilities at the Ricoh Arena on their website, here.

Food and Drink

From full sit down meals to quick snacks, a bottle of pop to a glass of beer, the Ricoh Arena provides a range of food and drink, including both permanent and “pop up” facilities around the venue.

You can find out more about food and drink at the Ricoh Arena on their website, here.

Hotel on Site

If you’re joining us for the full weekend of Warhammer Fest, or want to enjoy your one day refreshed and ready rather than straight after a long journey, the Ricoh Arena has a hotel right on site. You can pop back and forth between your room and Warhammer Fest, so if you stock up in the retail area, you can just drop your new goodies in your room and carry on with Warhammer Fest!

You can find out more about the Hilton Hotel at the Ricoh Arena on their website, here.

Coventry

If you want to make more out of your visit to the area, or keep family entertained while you enjoy Warhammer Fest yourself, Coventry and the surround area has lots to offer from Midland Air Museum to high street shopping, Coombe Country Park to sipping drinks in a Tiki Cocktail bar.
