You’ll have to make your own wibbly-time-travel-noises, but we’ll be taking you back in time at Warhammer Fest!
Now a regular feature at Warhammer Fest and Open Days, the Archive display gets you up close to classic miniatures, products and publications. For 2018 the Exhibitions Curator is taking you back through the decades, to announcements and releases from White Dwarf in 2008, 1998, 1988 and 1978.
2018’s Archive display was first seen at the New Year’s Open Day, where technical issues prevented us from displaying everything. It then should have been at the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Open Day, which has been postponed due to snow…
So Warhammer Fest will be your first opportunity to see the complete display, finally featuring a 3 meter long timeline! A sneak peek is shown below, and the next photo down shows how packed the 2017 timeline was.
Alongside the timeline we’ll be displaying boxes, publications and miniatures from the Archives, so you can see for real some things you may have once dreamed about owning – or perhaps did own, but 20 years later you still regret trading to your 13 year old mate!
After reminiscing over the timeline and the cabinet contents, you can make your mark on our poster asking what your first Citadel Miniature was. Exhibitions Curator Lise will be on hand as we fill out a poster of fond memories. Here’s some of what was filled in at the New Year’s Open Day.
Whether it’ll be a trip down memory lane, or a chance to see something old you’ve only heard about, make sure you take some time to check out the Archives as part of your Warhammer Fest Experience. Find out more about the whole event, and get your tickets now!
