Welcome to Throne of Skulls: The Gathering Storm – a non-competitive gaming event for anyone who wants to play fun games of Warhammer 40,000 set during The Gathering Storm. This event features a relaxed atmosphere where players can focus less on winning games and more on rolling dice and enjoying themselves. The most prestigious awards are based on sportsmanship, painting, gentlemanly conduct and having a good old laugh with like minded people. If that sounds like something you would like to take part in, then read on.
The event is set during the narrative presented in The Gathering Storm books. Chaos is in ascendance with Abaddon ready to lead his Black Crusade from the Warp. On Cadia, humanity’s first line of defence will be tested like never before. Amongst the carnage, a Saint will rise. From the webway come the Ynnari, a sub-sect of the Eldar fighting for their future and to bring about the ascension of Ynnead. From the fires of the Gathering Storm, a Primarch will rise.
This event is a great chance for players to take part in this epic storyline. It doesn’t matter if your faction isn’t included in these books. In fact you don’t even need to own these books to take part (although the rules and theme found within them will certainly help!). This event is purely about playing some fun games with like-minded people in the current Warhammer 40,000 setting.
